Laura
Lockhart is originally from Forrest City, Arkansas, but has
lived in Birmingham, AL since 1997. Over the years she has
worked in a variety of mediums from watercolor to glassblowing.
Her current inspiration is mixed media. These works are done
on masonite and involve an intricate layering process of
photographs, wax and acrylic. In some cases, sand, grass
or seaweed is also used to create unusual textures. |
